about

My goal for this music was to create melodic arrangements that explore unique West African rhythms, with jazz melodies and harmonies that I like woven throughout the songs. The vibe I was going for with this band was for everyone to bring their piece, their contribution — and be "that element" that makes whole the formula work. As the composer and creator of the music and a tenor player, I’m the voice of the band. Brett stirs in his harmonic components of soul and gospel influence and his strong lyrical presence on piano. Anton holds it down, with a rock-solid bottom on bass. And, just when you think it’s time to cool off, Justin goes in on drums acts as the catalyst and creates the reaction that brings the fire!
